After it had taken place in Zurich and Paris the last years, the leading international forum for contemporary illustration and graphic arts known as the Illustrative returns to the place of its birth this year: to my beloved Berlin. Established in 2006 the festival annually

… celebrates the illustrative arts, presents new talents and trends, exchanges ideas, marvels at progressive technologies, and rediscovers forgotten styles.

For the fifth time works of more than 60 artists ranging from drawing, graphic prints, painting and monumental mural collages to graphically inspired 3D-illustrations, book art and animation will be shown in the festival's exhibition. If you are interested in getting an idea of the current developments in illustration arts, the merging of infinite materials and techniques in widely unprecedented combinations, there is only one place to be from the 16th of October to the 1st of November: the Villa Elisabeth located right in the heart of Germany's creative capital.
