Designers Against Human Rights Abuse

Some days ago I promised to write more often about design as an instrument of activism. In the CR Blog they lately published a short interview with Rishi Sodha, founder of the non-profit organization «Designers Against Human Rights Abuse». DAHRA wants to
… raise awareness among those in the creative industries of their social, political and ethical responsibilities, as well as bring attention to different instances of human rights abuse around the world.
The interview focuses on the first project realized by the members of the organization: a book titled «Designers Against Tibetan Abuse». It's a collection of art and design works on the topic of the Tibetan struggle with China. DAHRA is a great example for designers engaging in public dialog through their work. So check out the interview and learn more about the initiative and its very nice first publication. (via CR Blog)
