Your girl- or boyfriend is a graphic or type designer and you still haven't found the right christmas gift? Don't panic! FACE37 – respectively Rick Banks – has released a nice card game which will make the hearts of type fans leap for joy.

The game called «Type Trumps» attributes different typefaces with numerical values like weights, legibility or the year it was published. The rules are similar to the ones of «Top Trumps» or «Quartett» as it's called in German. Cards can be won or lost by comparing a chosen attribute of the current typeface with the values of the other players' cards.

Banks added a ranking to the factual information which is based on «a subjectively ascribed postional value». The deck of cards can be ordered directly via the FACE37 website using paypal or via MagmaBooks. The price is GBP 9.99 (about EUR 12). (via computerlove)
