First Steps Into An Adventure Of A Year
No, I'm not weary of blogging, yet. Far from it! There are so many things I want to write about. But as well there are more and more important things which currently demand my attention. 2009 is a year of change – not only to the Americans. This summer I'll – hopefully – get my BA in Visual Communication. After this last step for now on the long way of my education I'll try to put my long-cherished plan into action – what means I'll post my next Christmas greetings from Berlin.Unfortunately there's much to do previously. The biggest hurdle to clear is the Bachelor Thesis. It consists of a culture-theoretical paper in written form and a practical work in the context of visual communication. The subject of the Thesis was chosen from multiple suggestions each student submitted to the department administration. And now I scourge myself every day in this beautiful working enviroment you can see below. Desperatly trying to get my culture-theoretical paper off the ground, I'm solely kept alive by regular doses of coffee sipped from my good-luck cup by milchmädchen.design I won at StyleSpion last December. Thanks again, Irina!
So what's my subject? My Thesis is concerned with the topic «Social Decline and Exclusion». A really relevant subject – especially these days – and thematically a nearly shoreless one. To be honest: I'm tired of the feeling that I'm actually writing a sociological disquisition. I still hope to find the link to a visual examination of the subject before the end of January. Any advice is welcome!
So I spend a lot of time on this paper, more precisely still on prepariation and research. Furthermore I'm preparing some works at the moment, which I did the last year, to submit them for the :output award. Perhaps I'll actually get a bit of the recognition I'm in urgent need of to pick up courage again when the Thesis makes me lose my nerve another time. Dear 2009, there has to be a really tremendous recompense waiting for me in Berlin after I'll have got through all these great odds!!
