Re-Inventing Integral Films For Vintage Polaroid Cameras

In June 2008 Polaroid stopped the whole production of analog instant films for their legendary cameras. All the factories in Mexico and the Netherlands were closed. The cameras and the unique look-and-feel of the pictures taken with them seemed to be doomed to extinction.

But there is new hope: Some guys registered an association called «Impossible b.v.» and acquired the complete film production equipment in Enschede, Netherlands from Polaroid. They have

… engaged the most experienced team of Integral Film experts worldwide.
It's not the idea to re-build Polaroid Integral Films but to come up with
An innovative and fresh analog material, sold under a new brand name that perfectly will match the global re-positioning of Integral Films.
They aim to restart the production in 2010. As with every Impossible Project the team appreciates any additional support. So feel free to sign up on their website! (via nerdcore)

Is the mere thought of waiting until 2010 driving you bananas? Just check out Poladroid! It's a free application for Mac OS as well as Windows which easily creates Polaroid-like pictures from any of your digital fotos.
